Demi Lovato Covers Kanye in Peru

Demi Lovato showed fans in Peru a very different side of herself last night.

No, not the side without makeup. All Twitter followers were treated to that glimpse a few days ago.

Instead, went all hip hop on these South American attendees, briefly covering the Kanye West/Jay-Z track "Niggas in Paris" off their collaborative album, "Watch the Throne." Even Demi couldn't take herself totally seriously while spewing out the rhymes, but she performed the track better than we could have!

Judge to T.I.: Great Job on Probation!

The judge overseeing T.I's probation case is so impressed with his behavior, he said hey man, you can have whatever you like ... okay not really, but he did ease some of the restrictions on the troubled rapper as a reward.

T.I.'s probation officer submitted the request to extend the rapper's out-of-state travel allowance from seven to 12 days, and the judge signed off.

Clifford Harris

T.I.: The model of law-abiding professionalism.

According to the officer, T.I. has been a model probationer, on his best behavior for months and completing his drug/alcohol counseling program early.

T.I. still has approximately five months left of supervised release after spending several months behind bars for a probation violation last year.

He was released into a halfway house in September.

His probation stems from his 2009 gun conviction, for which he served one year and one day, but with strict probation for several more years.

Building Smarter Apps

iPhone App Store Icon WallA new breed of mobile applications is coming. These new apps will not only "sense" the world around you, using the smartphone's sensors like the compass, GPS, and accelerometer - they'll also be able to combine that data with a history of your actions to intelligently determine your likes, interests and favorites. This understanding of the world, or "ambient discovery" if you will, could then be piped into any app to make it smarter, whether it's a social app for finding friends, a Siri-like personal assistant, a fitness app, a mobile game, or anything else. This, at least, is the promise from the Palo Alto-based startup, Alohar Mobile, which recently introduced new SDKs for mobile app developers interested in experimenting with the possibilities of smarter apps.

ASUS reportedly to release Transformer Pad 300 on April 22nd

Image
The ASUS Transformer Pad 300 is getting closer to bringing its watered-down Prime flavor to store shelves, as PC World reports a spokesperson confirmed it will begin shipping April 22nd. What they could not confirm was the price, although there are preorders out there for $399 already. In case you've forgotten, the 300 brings the same Tegra 3 processor as the Prime, but matches it with a standard IPS display, optional LTE and only 16GB of built-in storage, as well as 10 hours of battery life. We'll let you know when we hear more, but for now feel free to pencil in a note on your Earth Day calendar entries.

ASUS reportedly to release Transformer Pad 300 on April 22nd originally appeared on Engadget on Fri, 13 Apr 2012 22:25:00 EDT. Please see our terms for use of feeds.
